African lion, Toronto Zoo, Ontario, caught in mid-roar (okay, okay, it's actually mid-YAWN, but it looks like a roar). This is actually a neutered male lion, not a lioness... but I don't think that anyone will notice the difference should you choose to use this as reference for an actual lioness instead.
